About the Course

What am I going to learn in this course?

Do you want to catch system changes, degradations, or anomalies before they become full-blown incidents? Maybe you want to reduce alert fatigue, proactively detect regressions, or give your team confidence that things are working as expected.

Honeycomb Triggers allow you to set flexible, query-driven alerts using the same powerful queries you use to explore your data. You decide what “interesting” looks like, and Honeycomb will tell you when it happens/ The most effective way to stay ahead of issues without drowning in false alarms is to use event-based alerts driven by real observability data.

This course will teach you how to create, manage, and refine Honeycomb Triggers to detect meaningful changes in system behavior.

How will I learn these things?

This course will teach you practical troubleshooting and debugging techniques in two ways:

  • Videos will explain concepts and explain/demonstrate examples of procedures.
  • Quizzes for you to test your knowledge.

What do I need before taking this course to be successful?

  • Basic understanding of software architecture and production systems
  • Familiarity with the Honeycomb UI
